WHAT IS A BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST AT CREAM?

As Teddy, Business Analyst Business Intelligence, translate the BI needs of the business teams in specifications for the IT department, for both small demands or as part of larger projects (contributions or BI project).

YOUR TASKS :

• Act as person of contact between Business Engineering Teams and the Development Team
• Define the business specifications for BI needs
• Participation in (or management of) BI projects, or on the BI tracks of other projects for the engineering activities (requirement definition, impact analysis, process definition), while representing the BI vision (and BI target architecture) that has been defined
• Collaboration with data delivery experts to deliver on projects
• Understand business requirements and build a functional analysis which covers needs of the business according to our BI reference architecture
• Collaborate with the development team

HOW DO WE IMAGINE OUR FUTURE CONSULTANT?

• You have a Master degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent by experience
• You have good knowledge in BI techniques and tools (BO, SAS, Cognos.)
• You have a cultural openness and adaptability, you are rigorous, customer oriented, and you have high communication skills and analytical skills
• You are polyvalent and can adapt easily to quickly changing environment
• You are capable to think out of the box and maintain in the meantime a pragmatic approach
• You are able to work with autonomy while being also a great team player
• You are fluent in French and English; a good knowledge of Dutch is also required
• You are committed to travelling abroad occasionally upon the client’s request

Your Role

As a BI Analyst, you play a crucial role in analyzing, modeling, visualizing and optimizing data to gain strategic insights. You will work with various teams to develop robust data models, create impactful visualizations and ensure that data is accurately, consistently, and efficiently mapped and processed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a BI/Data Analyst or in a similar role
• Deep expertise in Power BI, including designing and maintaining dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights
• Strong SQL and DAX skills, with experience creating efficient queries, calculations, and measures
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data transformation, preparation, and modeling to support BI solutions
• Proven experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing tabular models for high-performance analytics
• Knowledge of data modeling (e.g., star schemas, dimensional models) and experience applying these in BI projects
• Familiarity with implementing role-based data access and security measures (RLS/OLS)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey complex insights
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to complex problems
• Languages: Bilingual – Fluent in Dutch & English or French & English

• Develop and optimize data models that support strategic decision-making
• Build, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards that transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
• Work with large datasets in Power BI, ensuring efficient processing and responsive visualization
• Streamline and enhance data transformations using best practices in tools like Power Query and DAX
• Implement and manage data security measures to ensure the right users access the right information at the right time
• Analyze data using statistical and analytical techniques
• Contribute to organization-wide BI strategies, including guidelines and knowledge sharing
• Improve current data governance and implement procedures for high-quality, trusted, and consistent data
