SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling) Consultant – Belgium (Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our team in Belgium. In this role, you will help customers optimize their financial and controlling processes through SAP solutions. You will be involved in both implementation and support projects, ensuring integration with other SAP modules.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and design SAP FICO solutions
• Configure and customize SAP FI & CO modules
• Ensure smooth integration with SAP SD, MM, and other related modules
• Lead or support end-to-end SAP implementations & migrations
• Conduct user training and workshops to assure successful adoption of SAP solutions

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an SAP FICO consultant
• Strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and cost controlling processes
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) or SAP BPC is an advantage
• Fluent in English and native Dutch or French

YOUR PROFILE

• +15 years of experience in a financial environment and at least 10 years in large SAP project implementations.
• Proven experience as a SAP FICO Solution Architect with in depth knowledge of SAP FICO solution portfolio, including the latest evolutions in S/4HANA:
• Excellent understanding of internal and external accounting
• Very good understanding of financial processes and interaction with other operational processes within a business.
• Thorough knowledge of Finance & Controlling SAP modules (New GL, AA, AP, AR, CCA, PC, PS,.).
• Knowledge of interaction between FICO and other modules as MM, SD, PP, .
• Able to analyze and solve issues in standard customization or specific SAP programs (ABAP).

• Deep functional knowledge of SAP FI-CO module including hands on configuration expertise.
• Technical knowledge along typical end-to-end processes relevant in the ERP context (Purchase-2-Pay, Order-2-Cash, Lead-2-Quote, Record-2-Report, Hire-2-Retire etc.) and their implementation in a SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Deep knowledge of two or more SAP modules.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior SAP Finance Consultant to join a dynamic and collaborative SAP team supporting Finance and Business Administration processes. You will play a key role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing SAP FI-related applications and integrations with Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Ariba, and S/4HANA.

Your Profile:

SAP & Technical Skills:

• 15+ years of experience as an SAP Finance Consultant.
• 10+ years configuring VIM (workflows, approval flows, SAP FI integration).
• 2+ years in integration and configuration of Ariba SLP and Ariba Network Automation.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including experience with BP and participation in at least one migration project.

Financial Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Belgian accounting standards (IFRS, BGAAP, ARS).
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI/CO financial processes.
• Exposure to Belgian e-invoicing legislation (Peppol framework).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end-user support for SAP FI modules (AR, AP, New GL, AA, Closing Cockpit, BPC Consolidation), VIM, and Ariba.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, prioritizing them according to business impact.
