About the roleIn this role you will work with our ambitious and international team to assist our broad range of clients with:
Tackling technical challenges with an open mind to the capabilities and benefits of (forensic) technology.
Working in a fully forensically sound environment and process, with digital evidence at the core of your function.
Developing and managing research methods for complex sets of (un)structured data and translate these to a functioning document review.

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Law, or Cyber related studies.
5+ years of experience in Cyber Forensics and eDiscovery.

What will you do as a Cyber Security Engineer?
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you are responsible for the operational support, monitoring, and improvement of the security of IT systems, applications, and network infrastructure within the organization. You play a key role in defending our computer network, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing solutions to security issues. Additionally, you assist in investigating security incidents.
Specifically, this means:
- You maintain and strengthen the existing security architecture of networks, servers, and applications. You assist in the implementation and management of security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security.
- You monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and closely follow up on potential incidents, in collaboration with the Cyber Security & Business Continuity Manager and the IT Operations Manager. You document incidents and test new hardware and software for security before implementation.
- You ensure that systems and software are always up to date with the latest security patches. Together with the IT Infrastructure Team, you work on hardening servers and networks.
- You provide first-line support on cyber security and use clear documentation.
- You stay continuously informed about the latest developments in your field and translate these into concrete improvements within the organization.
Your profile: what do you bring?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Candidates with less experience may also be considered, provided they have completed a Cyber Security training.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French are a plus.
- You hold a valid EU work permit and are based in Belgium.
