What You Bring:
- Strong Python skills, including experience with parallel computing, asynchronous programming, and testing.
- A good command of SQL and an understanding of query optimisation techniques for large datasets.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-driven IDEs and copilot tools in your daily work.
- Knowledge and interest in open weight AI models, with first experience leveraging LLM fine tuning for data applications.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
- Solid communication skills in English, essential for clear and direct collaboration in a team setting.
Bonus Points:
- Interest in Rust or other high-performance languages.
- Exposure to vector search and AI tooling (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma).
- First experiences with containerisation and infrastructure as code (Docker, Docker Swarm, Terraform).

Voor een familiebedrijf in volle groei zijn we op zoek naar een ervaren en gedreven IT Manager. Focus zal liggen op de verdere uitbouw van hun applicaties (nieuw ERP systeem, AI tools, E-commerce,.), maar ook infrastructuur projecten kunnen aan bod komen.
De organisatie is verdeler van diverse tools en machines. Ze stelt 65 medewerkers te werk en is actief in de Benelux en Frankrijk.
De interne IT-afdeling telt 2 medewerkers (support, infra en applicaties), maar ze ontbreken een IT Manager die de leiding kan nemen over de projecten, iemand die inspeelt op de noden van het bedrijf en nadenkt over de verdere digitalisering van het bedrijf. Gezien het een klein bedrijf is met een klein IT departement moet de IT Manager ook hands-on zijn.
Functie
De IT Manager is verantwoordelijk voor het leiden en implementeren van diverse strategische en operationele IT-projecten.
Kernverantwoordelijkheden:
- Analyseren van projectbehoeften en bepalen van de impact op de organisatie.
- Opstellen van projectplannen met duidelijke deadlines, budgetten en doelstellingen.
- Aansturen en ondersteunen van het IT-team (2 medewerkers) en actief meewerken waar nodig.
- Optimaliseren en uitbreiden van het ERP-systeem (Business Central) en gerelateerde toepassingen.
- Beheren van integraties met o.a. e-commerceplatformen, AI-oplossingen, WMS en CRM-systemen.

Profiel

To support this transformation, we’re looking for an experienced IT Business Partner with a good business insight who is willing to take on the next step as an IT Manager to drive innovation, integration, and operational excellence across the digital and IT landscape of BMB. The internal title is IT Manager but this is the end responsible role for the IT of the whole company, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
About the Role
The IT Business Partner acts as the main internal business – IT liaison. You are responsible for the full IT application landscape, business analytics, IT risk & security, digital & IT strategic roadmap as well as IT & data projects (a.o. post-merger integration).
The current Digital & IT application landscape at BMB is fragmented . The BME Group Digital & IT strategy aims to simplify and modernize the application landscape with common state-of-the-art technologies across BME.
There is no IT team yet (except for 1-2 people), so you will work with external teams of our other Opco's and need to be pretty hand-on. Later in a few years when the company grows, you will have a chance to build your own team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize local IT operations with high standards in security, continuity, and cost-efficiency.
- Translate and implement the BME Group IT & Digital roadmap at BMB.
- Modernize and harmonize infrastructure and applications (e.g. ERP, data platforms).

- IT Operations and ER Technology & Services (ET&S) Poland colleagues to upgrade/improve/modernize our IT infrastructure landscape;
- IT Product Owners and their development teams while applying the agile software development methodology;
- Transformation Office to understand priorities and to balance demand and supply of IT resources in scope of projects;

Responsibilities
- Make certain of the IT project objectives and feasibility;
- Delineate, clarify and set phases for the project content, taking account of the project roadmap and dependencies.
- Collect non-functional requirements.
- Align and integrate architectural direction setting and security requirements; Identify and manage project interdependencies, risks and issues and proactively take or recommend the necessary measures;
- Draw up an all-encompassing IT project plan aligned with resource managers and other project managers;
- Negotiate with and direct internal and external IT parties;
- Stabilize project mobilization by applying project change control;
- Identify relevant stakeholders and elaborate communication plan;
- Communicate regularly and clearly on the progress of the project to management and business partners;
- Elaborate meeting minutes and track agreed actions;
- Schedule project resources/forecast budget and track and evaluate progress;
- Responsible for the follow up of procedures and delivery of expected project results;
- Set up and maintain project configuration (manuals, documents, etc.);
- Advise Project Portfolio Board in case of re-prioritization of projects; Formulate the required improvements by way of “Lessons Learned”;
- Proposes, documents and validates new procedures regarding Project management/Governance inside IT;
Hard skills
- Higher degree or equivalent trough relevant experience (at least 5 years);
- Large and proven experience in leading and monitoring multiple projects in a matrix structure (at least 3 years);
- Profound knowledge of the following is a plus: Project management methodology (preference Prince2); Agile/scrum development in practice;
- IT Service Management framework (preference ITIL); Experience with tools that are used within : MS Project Online, Jira, Confluence, . Release train development;
- English and good understanding of French and/or Dutch;
- Experience in finance/insurance domains is a strong advantage.
