Senior Specialist Trade Compliance EMEA

**We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization and the GTS - Automotive Business Unit senior specialist (based in Belgium or Portugal) plays a critical role in supporting trade operations and compliance within the Business Unit (BU).**
**The GTS AUT BU Senior Specialist serves as a trusted advisor and key team member within TE's Operational Compliance team for the BU. The purpose of this role is to facilitate TE's compliance, at the BU level, with import and export regulations globally to enhance global trade compliance, reduce risk, increase responsiveness to issues and opportunities, and support effective operational aspects of international trade.**
**Your responsabilities:**
Trade Compliance Activities in the BU
- Execute trade operations and provide compliance oversight for the assigned BU in EMEA to ensure TE's compliance with import/export laws and regulations
- Maintain trade operations and compliance activities in accordance with TE policies, procedures, and controls, in collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the BU
- Act as a point of contact for BU stakeholders in EMEA on trade-related matters.
- Actively contribute to duty savings and other projects
- Embed and train GTS SOPs and other processes locally
- Work with BU stakeholders and counsel in EMEA to understand business changes and develop trade-related solutions/strategies and controls to ensure compliance
- Maintain BU-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the operations
Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders across the Enterprise
- Partner with GTS Governance to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, assess the potential impact to the BU, and determine the necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders
- Work with GTS Governance teams to conduct trade compliance audits and oversee corrective action plans
- Partner with GTS Governance to develop and administer effective trade compliance training as required throughout the region and organization
- Ensure appropriate utilization of the GTS Operations Service Center for product classification (import and export), restricted party screening, and duty savings compliance, and otherwise ensure proper country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility
- Work with the Operational Service Centers to identify, evaluate and administer opportunities to facilitate trade in a cost-effective and compliant manner (e.g. make use of applicable Free Trade Agreements, processing regimes etc.)
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal functions, including corporate functions, to encourage awareness of global trade compliance issues, pro-actively identify trade risk and threats, and develop appropriate trade compliance controls
Talent Development & Leadership

**Your ideal background:**
- Bachelor's degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field)
- 6+ years' experience in global trade compliance
- Preferred: 3+ years' experience in supporting trade functions within an industrial, communications, transportation, or similar business
- Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in Belgium and/or Portugal and preferably other countries in the EMEA region
- Experience in post-entry/post-shipment audits and process audits in general
- Functional knowledge of customs classification, including direct experience classifying products under the Harmonized Tariff System
- Preferred: Functional knowledge of export classification
- Preferred: Familiarity with customs valuation (e.g. assists, transfer price adjustments)
- Preferred: Experience actively participating in cross-functional group projects
- Experience interfacing directly and effectively with government agency authorities

**Wat ga je doen als Field Operator energie installaties in Izegem?**
Voor het raffineren van diverse voedingsoliën en -vetten gebruiken we een warmtekrachtcentrale (gas) voor de productie van warmte en elektriciteit, gekoppeld aan het hoogspanningsnet, een gasstation, een installatie voor stoomproductie, perslucht door compressoren en een ammoniakinstallatie voor koeling.
+ Als Field Operator energie installaties ('utilities') houd je vanuit **een lokale controlekamer** toezicht op deze verschillende 'utilities' of nutsprocessen (stoomketels, perslucht, demineralisatie, turbine, elektrische kasten, sprinkler installatie, waterzuivering, .) en stuur je bij waar nodig
+ Je voert regelmatige **inspectierondes** uit om afwijkingen op te sporen
+ Stalen nemen (ketelwater/demiwater) en **chemische analyse** uitvoeren
+ Het **technisch onderhoud** van de installaties ondersteunen o.a. door het lockout-tagout principe (LOTO)
+ Je garandeert **veilige werkzaamheden** en leidt toekomstige medewerkers op
+ **Administratieve en technische problemen** zelfstandig oplossen en in een ploeg van 6 ben jij het eerstelijnsaanspreekpunt voor de 'utilities' installaties
+ Je toont interesse voor het **volledige raffinageproces** en assisteert collega operatoren bij andere deelprocessen op cruciale momenten

Responsabilités clés :

• Concevoir, développer, tester et déployer des applications web robustes et évolutives.
• Collaborer étroitement avec les chefs de produit, les designers et les autres développeurs pour définir les spécifications et les fonctionnalités des produits.
• Participer à toutes les phases du cycle de vie du développement logiciel, de la conception à la maintenance.
• Identifier et corriger les bugs, optimiser les performances des applications.
• Assurer la qualité du code par des revues de code régulières et la mise en place de bonnes pratiques de développement.
• Contribuer à l'architecture et à la conception de nouvelles fonctionnalités.
• Participer à la veille technologique pour proposer des améliorations continues.
• Former et encadrer les développeurs juniors.

Qualifications requises :

• Diplôme en informatique, ingénierie logicielle ou domaine connexe, ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.
• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience professionnelle en développement full-stack.
• Maîtrise des langages de programmation front-end tels que JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, et des frameworks associés (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Solide expérience en développement back-end avec des langages comme Java, Python, Node.js, ou C#.
• Excellente connaissance des bases de données relationnelles (SQL) et NoSQL.
• Expérience avec les principes de CI/CD, les tests unitaires et d'intégration.
• Familiarité avec les environnements cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement agile.
• Excellentes compétences en communication et en résolution de problèmes.
• Bonne maîtrise de l'anglais technique est un plus.
