Jouw rol:

Als Network & Security Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp, de implementatie en het beheer van de netwerkinfrastructuur bij onze klant. Je staat in voor zowel on-premise als cloudgebaseerde infrastructuur op diverse locaties. Je bent het centrale aanspreekpunt voor security-gerelateerde vraagstukken en werkt nauw samen met het bredere IT-team aan projecten, optimalisaties en troubleshooting.

Technische verantwoordelijkheden:

• Uitbouw en beheer van switching- en routinginfrastructuur (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus)
• Configuratie, monitoring en onderhoud van Cisco firewalls (ASA, Firepower)
• Beheer en fine-tuning van Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) voor netwerktoegangscontrole
• Implementatie en beheer van Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela of Meraki)
• Configuratie van VPN-oplossingen (site-to-site en remote access)
• Netwerksegmentatie (VLAN, ACL’s, VRF) en implementatie van QoS
• Monitoring en alerting via Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, of vergelijkbare tools
• Security hardening van netwerkcomponenten en implementatie van policies (NAC, 802.1X, AAA)
• Troubleshooting op Layer 2–7 met tools als Wireshark, NetFlow, en packet captures
• Ondersteuning bij audits en compliance-initiatieven (ISO27001, NIS2, .)
• Documentatie en standaardisatie van netwerkconfiguraties en procedures

Wat verwachten we van jou?

• Bachelor of master in IT, of gelijkwaardige ervaring
• Minstens 3 jaar ervaring in netwerk- en securitybeheer
• Grondige kennis van Cisco-technologieën, met bij voorkeur certificering (CCNA/CCNP, CCIE is een plus)
• Praktische ervaring met Cisco routers, switches, firewalls en cloud-netwerken (Azure/AWS networking)
• Ervaring met scripting of automatisering (Python, Ansible, of Cisco DNA Center APIs) is een troef
• Kennis van serveromgevingen (Windows/Linux) en basis securityprincipes
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels

General Description:

We are looking for a strong Network Engineer specialized in firewall management both on Palo Alto and Checkpoint. The purpose is to increase the knowledge in our division and have a backup for the technical owner. The candidate will help in operating and maintaining the product and will participate in the improvement of related processes to meet security and regulatory requirements and controls.

About the Role:

The Network Engineer will contribute to a team responsible for the day-to-day operation and monitoring of the Network and project delivery.

The focus will be on design, implementation and support of the Business and IT Applications.

The candidate will assist in setup and maintenance of production network infrastructure, he will also contribute to the configuration of our Network devices.

In addition, there will be a specific focus on the Security review of our environment:

• Firewall management and firewall rules review, implementation and cleanup;
• DNS services implementation and support;,
• HLB and GSLB services implementation and support;

A transition to Software Defined network is ongoing and therefore the global security review will have to integrate this new parameter.

This position requires a broad knowledge of Network Security systems (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Panorama.), Software Defined Network (CISCO ACI technology, EPG, .), DNS and GSLB ( Infoblox ), HLB ( F5 Networks).

It involves analytical skills and troubleshooting capability to work with the team members to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.

Responsibilities:

• Network Architecture & Design: Supporting the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud network infrastructures, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Managing and maintaining network devices, optimizing configurations, and troubleshooting network issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Security Protocols: Implementing thorough security protocols such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Virtual Private Networking (VPN), and encryption techniques. Ensuring compliance with industry standards.
